Although Laphroaig isn't allowed to put the prefix ‘Royal’ in its name (yet), rumor has it his royal princeness \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCharles of Wales\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is a fan of the ‘L’ Whisky. The 15-year-old is reportedly the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eprince's favorite\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e Scotch. For a long while there’s been \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003efrenzy\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e for Laphroaig’s Scotch, especially those less-available expressions.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLaphroaig PX\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is made in a similar fashion than their \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003efamous Quarter\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003eCask\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e. First it’s aged in Bourbon barrels, then in small 19th century style quarter casks, and finally in large European oak, where Pedro Ximenez \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSherry\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e was aged beforehand.
