Yep, we’ve rounded up a new band of Whiskies from around the world to take the stage and rock your palate. The lights are perfectly calibrated, the pyrotechnics are on point, and the smoke...? Well, \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eour rockstar drams\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e are bringing plenty of that to the table. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eAh shit—the groupies just got here. \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTime to get backstage\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eNow, what exactly gives these Whiskies their sexy, smoldering profile? That, friends, is \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ethe power of Peat\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, which is essentially decomposed organic plant matter typically found in bogs and ferns in places like Scotland, Ireland and Canada. This pungent stuff sneaks into your Whisk(e)y in the malting process or with finishing it in a cask, when the dried barley absorbs the smoke odor from the burning peat used in the drying. And it’s \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ea polarizing thing amongst Whisk(e)y lovers\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e—the taste is either a sweet study in harmonious flavors or a cacophonous crash of dissonant chords.
