The process starts with a neutral, grain-based Spirit. A portion of the \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\"heavier\" botanicals \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eare bruised and macerated in this Spirit before the second distillation — including Bosnian juniper berries, licorice root, cassia bark, orris, and bergamot. The second \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\"lighter\" set of botanical \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003eare infused\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cem\u003e basket-style\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e during the second distillation as the vapors pass through — including fresh orange and lime zest, dried pears, Macedonian juniper, and Polish angelica. Finally, the \"delicates\" are infused in the final Spirit \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\"tea style\" \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e— including rose petals, kaffir lime leaves, linden flowers, and elderflower.
