Funky Pump London Dry Gin (500mL)

Funky Pump Gin is a product of the Austrian alpine valley of Lechtal. It’s in this picturesque setting that the Gin is handcrafted - using no modern technology or large scale machinery - just centuries-old techniques which produce a quality spirit. On paper, it sounds like a very traditional Gin, but in actual fact, Funky Pump has a modern twist, quite literally. The bright blue packaging alone has stand-out, but couple that with the bold screw cap which resembles a cog in a machine, and you’ve got something that’ll be really noticeable in your home bar.

The Gin itself is made with local and global botanicals to a secret recipe. The botanicals are macerated in grain spirit (but not all for the same length of time) before distillation takes place. This Gin has taken more than a year of testing, experimenting and trailing to get just right. On the nose, it’s distinctly juniper-heavy with a citrus twist, much like a classic Gin. On the palate, there’s a slight sweetness as well fruity flavors, resulting in a herbal, bitter-sweet finish. A well-balanced, smooth Gin which works as well on its own as in cocktails.
