Glenglassaugh Evolution (700mL)

The Glenglassaugh distillery was founded by Col. James Moir in 1875, at the east end of the beautiful Sandend Bay, in the Speyside region of Scotland. In 1892 Glenglassaugh was purchased by Highland Distillers and continued production until 1986, when it was mothballed. In 2008 it was bought by the BenRiach distillery with the intention of bringing this brand back to life, and rightfully so. 
 
Glenglassaugh Evolution is a limited edition, which joins the Revival bottling. Aged in ex-Tennessee Whiskey casks that were used to age George Dickel, it was bottled at cask strength. Evolution is part of Glenglassaugh's series of single malts that celebrate the variety of casks in which Scotch is aged. It’s young, vibrant, full of energy, and punchy, yet it is showing significant talent.
